Waiting On An Echo

26 Sep

“As you listen to ‘Waiting On An Echo’ you get the sense that you are listening to a band that is on the cusp of greatness.  This is a song that talks about the risk you take, when you realize that you are in love and you say the words I love you, hoping that the other person is going to say those same words back to you. It is about the joy of putting it out there and saying this is how I feel, these are my ’expectations and anticipation.’  It is about holding your breath, reflected in the words, ‘Feels like my heart is suspended in air….looking down, a long way to fall, I throw it out there baby, it’s your call.’  These songs are not syrupy, they are not overdone and they are not fanciful. They are real words that describe real feelings, real emotions, real fears and real hopes. The inflection in the vocals suggests these are heartfelt.” - Riveting Riffs

“Highlighting the video and song are the incredible instrumental sequences, a distinguishing attribute of these powerful entertainers, and the soul of what makes this video work and ‘Waiting On An Echo’ a top feature song from the Landfall album.” – Neon Universe

Buried In Blue Jeans

Country duo Jesse and Noah Bellamy have just released their new video for “Buried In Blue Jeans,” the latest single off their album Landfall.

After pushing the mainstream country envelope with their previous video release, “Dirty With A Southern Drawl,” that was deemed a bit too risqué for country music television, “Buried In Blue Jeans” takes the viewer into the Bellamy world with a song that honors their family legacy and their grandfather, Homer Bellamy.

Directed by Jon Spicola, a longtime friend of Jesse and Noah’s, the video incorporates scenes from the family ranch and Florida’s historic Townsend House Cemetery. The cemetery dates back to 1854 where several generations of Jesse and Noah Bellamy’s family are interred.

The brothers acknowledge that some may believe that it’s somewhat disrespectful or morbid to sing on your grandparents’ graves, but they said it was a way to honor two of the biggest fans of country music they’ve ever known.

“Our grandparents are the reason we do what we do,” said Noah Bellamy. I think a lot of people think we do country music because of our Dad, but we were pretty much raised by our grandparents while he was on the road. That’s where we first heard stuff like Merle Haggard, Jimmie Rodgers, Marty Robbins and Jim Reeves.

Jesse Bellamy, who is the sole writer on the song, came up with the title the first time his girlfriend looked in his closet and discovered that he didn’t own a pair of dress pants.

“I had wanted to write a song for my Grandpa for a longtime,” said Jesse. ”One day it occurred to me to put the two ideas together. From there the song sort of wrote itself.” – Music News Nashville

The Bellamy Boys Hang Out With Fearless

6 Jul

From Rudy at KEAN Abilene:

I got  a page from the front desk to come up front because I had a couple of guests waiting. And what an awesome surprise, the Bellamy Boys, Jesse and Noah were standing in my lobby. They were passing through and wanted to leave me with a copy of their latest CD “Landfall”. We started reminicing over the old days when they were growing up and we listened casually to the album. I was promised a return visit and the next time they said, they’ll bring the entire band and come play live in Abilene.

All the while the CD is playing quietly in the background as I was picking up on several things like the first released single and the second when I just remarked “I love your harmonies” these two boys are a natural. I think they’ve got a sound that country music is needing today. They are as natural as their dad, David and uncle Howard Bellamy. I also realized these boys have more “music industry” experience than anybody in the business today.

Their CD is awesome and as I said the vocals are tight. I really wish them luck on the road.  For the rest of Rudy’s story, click here: (http://keanradio.com/the-bellemy-boys-hang-out-with-fearless-video/)
