Bio

Jesse and Noah Bellamy grew up on a cattle ranch in the small community of Darby, Florida near Tampa. Raised mostly by their grandmother while their dad, David, was busy touring as one half of the well known Bellamy Brothers their upbringing was a typical traditional southern one intersected by the fascinating world of the music industry. Jesse jokingly relates “Every once in a while this band of old hippies would show up and they be playing music and making records!” Hanging out in the studio with that “band of old hippies” peaked the boys interests in the recording process early on as they witnessed songs they had first heard take shape in the studio become classic country radio hits.

Noah: “There was always recording going on at home so we learned how to use the studio right along with learning to play and sing.”

In the early part of the 2000s the boys led the roots rock outfit Elston Gunnn. Touring with Elston Gunnn they preformed at venues as varied as New York’s famed, now defunct, ground zero for punk CBGB and Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Nashville as well as playing Texas for the first time where they immediately felt a musical kinship with the “melting pot” atmosphere of the Texas music scene.

Jesse: “We been lucky enough to be embraced by Texas even though we’re not from there.”

Jesse and Noah quickly establish a following in Texas receiving significant airplay and charting 6 singles to date on the Texas Music and Texas Regional Charts: Daddy’s Got a Shotgun, Wild and Willin’, First Call after Last Call, Dirty with a Southern Drawl, Buried in Blue Jeans, and Waiting on an Echo.

In addition to reception in Texas, J&N have gained ground with audiences in Europe touring and releasing music there. In 2007 they were award a gold record in Denmark for their contribution to Danish folk singer Wenche Hartmann’s album Here I Am.

Constantly working on new music in between gigs and as proud independent artists in the truest sense: writing, recording, distributing, and filming videos as much as they can on their own, fans can expect new music at almost anytime from Jesse and Noah.

Summer 2010 will see the release of Jesse and Noah’s second album Landfall. Completely self-produced and recorded at the duo’s home studio, the brothers are notable for their writing, engineering, and the playing of almost all instruments on the album as well as sharing production duties. Landfall reflects these talented artists’ true vision of their unique sound.
